Good looking dog. How much training did it take to get it down pat?

looks like he's starting to get some legs om him now.
has he figured out how to use them, or is he like mine and clumsy as a 3 legged giraffe?

He is still clumsy , but having to run with my other lab has him picking up speed and agility if he wants to keep up:p

Watching a clumsy pup try to go one way and the legs go another can be hilarious. Pappy try to get us a pic of him when his brain is going one way and his body is going the other. Those sometimes make the best pictures of all.

Yep. Trooper is a nutcase! Its been a tough road training him as I made a HUGE mistake that will take a long tome to correct when training him. He will get things right, as long as I do my part.

I cant help but brag on Gauge.....he is further along at this young age then any lab I have every owned. The hard part is not to push him to hard and to make this fun while teaching him to do his job. He may look cute, but I prefer his lips dripping blood after a good retrieve:D

Its been a squib season here so far. Early season was void of geese and ducks, weather wasnt bad enough up north to push birds down....

The second season....well we got dumped on by that blizzard and I am sure the birds headed south and never even stopped here:p

Saturday, we had 3 or 4 big flights of mallards that were higha nd never even gave us a look.....saw zero geese as well. It was raininga nd really foggy so who knows. The river rose 8 feet overnight so it is out of the question until maybe this weekend, but me and jason (wvspeedfreek) are going to check out a sweet lil spot near him thursday so hopefully we can really light into them!
