I was wondering what carb you guys are running on the big bore motors? The motor I have is a 54mm, stock stroke, bigvalve, compression piston. I have a big gun exhuast, and uni filter on it.

The Carb I have is a 25 mm. Appears to be a china made knock off keihn. It falls on its face if you punch it. If you ease into it, it runs fine. I have moved the needle up and down and went to a larger main jet and it still doesn't help. Also it has a different style slow jet, with the threads on the end is anyone familiar with these?

Could the carb be to big? If you run it 1/4 choked it is better.Could you tell me what carb you recommend and what jet to start with? All we do is trail ride and all the parts came from DRatv

We've had real good luck with CRF100 and CRF150 carbs. They will bolt directly on to the stock intake but will need some port work to the intake. The factory Honda jetting on these come real close for us. We went up 1 or 2 on the pilot and up a few on the main. NO bogging what so ever......

It should work real well for you. DRATV has an intake that will work well for port match to the new carb or you can port the stocker.
