Fuel guage ?

My dad's 07 renegade fuel guage stopped working. The tanks full and the fuel lights on and the fuel guage shows empty. Does anyone know what could be wrong with it. Any help would be nice.

yes mine did the same, i hope your warrenty isnt up!! you have to put a new fuel pump in!! remove the tank its in the bottom. if you have warrenty great it will only cost you $50, the fuel pump is 230$ US at least that much for labour. i m in Canada and the labour would have been $350. Good Luck!

Ok thanks yeah his only has 15 hours on it and it alreaduy dies. I don't know if it died from sitting or what. The battery went dead on it thats how long its been sitting.
