Has anyone ever used tie rod end bolts for lug nuts? They look just like the flanged after market nuts. I am just wonder would there be and issue with the tie nuts coming lose?

Ill just say this.... when Im flying down a trail in 4th weaving through trees,,, the last thing I want to worry about is if my wheel is gonna stay on. I guess it might work in a pinch but I wouldn't use them permanently. Id stick to straight lug nuts. Thats just my opinion... and you know what they say about that...

Yeah what exactly are you looking to gain by using the tie rod bolts? Lug nuts are cheap just buy the right ones...

O i just have a few tie rod nuts in my tool box,and I thought that they looked very similar to the new lug nuts I just got. But yeah I agree grassman, lugs are the last thing I want to think about while ridin. I guess I could just put one nut on to see if it will stay.
