I seem to remember the 450r front bumper mounts being wider, but do the bolt holes line up? Wondering if I can make some spacers and use one.

yes you can. The top holes width is correct, the bottom on the 450 is 1/4" wider on both sides. Which is the same as (I believe) 400EX and for sure the Z400. I bought a new Z400 bumper from Blingstar and mounted it on my 250r. Works fine, I spaced it with some washers. I then took it off an mounted that same bumper on my 450, works perfect no washers. So the Z400 and 450r are the exact same.

Not 100% sure, but the only thing I could say on the years, is on the Roll Design website they have the same part number for 400EX and 450r all years. Mine's an 06 450r.

Do you have any pictures of the 450R bumper mounted? I tryed to mount my old AC national bumper but the bottom holes didn't line up. I'm sure the bumper is bent though, but it definately still fit my 450R.

I just really want to make sure before I drop $150 on a bumper.

The bottom holes were elongated a mm or 2, and I had to add spacers on the bottom as well. The only thing, is it depends on the bumper a little too and the manufacturer. Meaning, I had to do elongate the holes my IMS bumper and it was made for a 250r!!...

Also the Duncan bumper wouldn't really allow one to elongate the holes due to the what the bumper is designed... FYI.

Thanks for taking the time to post pictures for me. That makes me feel alot more confident.

I know what you mean, I was unsure myself when I bought this bumper.

Another topic, I think the 06-09 450r grab bar will mount up too. I'm checking this out tonight. I took some measurements and it was a close match with the 88-89 frame. The 450r's have an exhaust hanger that would need to be cut off though... but no big issue. I'll confirm tonight for everyone.

I was told that the 04-05 grab bar is a direct bolt on.

The 06 is a direct bolt on, I just tried it tonight. I've got pics of this as well. Will need to trim the exhaust hanger off, but other than that it is a direct bolt on.
