so how do we stop the cam decompressor noise? i have the stg 2 hotcam and i still have that noise and it makes it hard to hear anything else with that annoying ticking.

im about ready to put together another motor and i would like to not have the cam decompressor noise right from the jump. is there anything i can do to stop that?

If i remember right the aftermarket cams dont have it on there.

But how to get rid of noise, there is a rocker arm with an extra piece of meatal that the decommpressor hits, all you got to do is grind the rocker arm where the decomp. hits and noise gone.
But make sure you dont cut where your cam lobe hits.

i circled the rocker arm with the peice in yellow and you'll cut right along the red line its realy simple. i cut mine with a hack saw lol but if you hace a die grinder with a cutting wheel it wont be nothin just stay on the line.

The hotcams are notorious for loud ticking... I wouldn't worry too much about it.

My stage 1 hotcam was ridiculously loud. I even ran tighter valve clearances, and it was still loud. Seemed to get louder when it got warm too. Nature of the beast, search, you'll see a ton of other people have had this...
