03 400ex brake light?

Good Evening

Just bought myself an 03 400ex, and notice that the 'brake light' doesnt work. The light works fine as a tail light when the headlight is on.

Is the light on my 03 just a 'tail light' and not a brake light as well? Only has two wires running to it.

i beleave 2005 and up is when they had a brake light. 2004 to 99 was just a tail light.

there is a how too here somewhere on making the 99 to 04 a brake light but you will need some factory parts and such

agreed if you look up at your brake lever there is no electrical connections to activate a switch for the light.

if you want a breaklight tho they sell them on ebay i bought the kit and it was very easy to install only thing is i put the 450r led on instead of the one that comes with it from all new hondas except 450r (note its a 2000)
