Since driving today seems kind of stupid, and the Deer bedded tight.....and the storm ran us off the mountain we Bear hunt.....I figured i would see how much I could stand in the bird blind:D

Would have loved to have used some flash but the snow would have bounced it back....maybe once it stops.

I heard a wing rustle and the birds scattered everywhere. This hawk made a dive at one of the birds at the feeders and was tangled in the brush. I did not have time to get a shot of him in the brush at the feeder because in a flash he was gone and settled in a nearby tree.

Is that where most of your photography is taken?

Whats the hunting like in around that area? what species can you hunt?

Sorry for the questions, but we have thought about moving to the States for a long time now and we are going to start looking seriously over the next year, id like to get a good insight into different areas without spending a fortune travelling from one end of the country to the other!

Yeah most are taken here or near here. I usually try and hit wildlife refuges and such when I am traveling during race season.

We too are thinking fo relocating soon, but we havent decided onw here. WV is nice, but I have really bad arthritis in my shoulders so maybe a touch warmer spot....maybe North Carolina, Northern Georgia, Tennessee....

The US of A offers such a range of climates and terrain that you can pick what you like best and usually can find a state or region that suits your needs. Thankfully I wont have to live near a large metro area anymore so we can "get away" on our next move!

Thanks

Where we live now it's just getting to crowded, we'd like a small farm with good hunting and fairly close to a local town.

Our climate here is very undecided so a truly winter summer climate would be nice but finding the right spot and sorting out work etc is a very big move! So al the help we can get along the way is very advantageous.

Thanks again
