has anyone tried one of these. They look like the one on snyders web site. I got mine today and wired it up the way it looks like it should be done but nothing. plug the stock one in and it fires right up. The only difference in wires compared to the stock one is the gray wire that goes to ground isn't there. has a b/w r/b b/w and the double plug. I tride switching the 2 red wires. didn't help.

is that black and white , red and black, and blue and white? If so plug the plug in Black and white ground, red and black with red and black and blue and white to coil hot. If this is as it appears. If any one sees where im wrong please step in but I believe im right.

sorry drr. black w white stripe, red w black stripe, red w white stripe, and double plug orange and brown wire.

ok ,this is what i have run into with installinig a aftermarket cdi.
the ground paths are opposite in the cdi and what i had to do is keep the kill switch on the handle bars in the off possition for it to start.that is if you are using the stock wiring harness

sorry did the wiring harness delete. we have a pull kill switch that grounds the coil hot wire.

when you say white and blue into coil hot, does that mean plug red and white into coil direct?

the three wire plug goes to stator.the two wire plug goes to coil with the orange wire hot to coil and black ground through the kill switch.open start ,closed stop or visa versa,

okay unplug black wire with white stripe and works fine.
