I like the Razr II fronts and Razr I rears. I had the ITP Gncc's and HD's and the Razrs work better for me.

what and where do you get the tool to groove the tires and what pattern is used?

Nac's Racing a long time ago...not sure if they still offer them...checked their site but didn't see any listed. I have used and grooved my own a number of ways. Straight across all of the lugs or straight across and then diagonal on the last lugs on each side of the tire. This also works for Razr II' s and GBC X Rex's. The GBC's are the same pattern as the Razr II but made of a different compound and less pricey.

when i got mine for my yfz i had rzr 2 up front and rzr rears loved them but traded bike for a trx which i shouldnt have done that now haha to much money in it but now i have pirelli xc hey got the holeshot last race with them it was live start everyone was spinnin i was gone they had rzrs by buddy had gncc

but if u do look about the pirellis there a lil cheaper but tread pattern remends me of a rzr rear and rzr 2 front some what

Bump. I'm curious to hear more inputs. I already have Rzr2s up front, but need new rears. Was thinking about the GNCC. I had HDs before, they were great on my LTR but maybe not the same for the TRX. So keep them coming.

Razr one rears razr 2 fronts. Cant be beat. Just look at the GNCC afternoon racers. If you want to run the ITP GNCC tires, unless its dry or not ruts, you will want the 21 inch rears. Holeshot HDs are heavy. Razr 2 rears work well, but dont handle as good as Razr 1s, however they do last longer.

Hi, in Europe the best tires for MX and XC is Goldspeed. They are like day and night compare to razr2. I rode them both and its like it is. Goldspeed are 4 lbs lighter then rzr2 and the protector is much beter, and quad have another breath with goldspeed!

Exactly why I am looking into tires other than HDs. They had awesome traction in the loose stuff (which I mostly ride) and lasted forever, but were really heavy. I had them an on LTR and the bike handled well enough with the HDs, however, every bike is different so I'm looking for what best suites the TRX. I already have new Rzr2 fronts, looks like Rzr1s on the rear are most desireable so far.

razr 2's up front and razr 1's for the back sound like the hot setup but what about size dose a 21 make that much more a difference over the 22 rear? iv always ran 21in with normal ride height and never have had a prob but i dont run that many races.

As bigger is tires as harder is to turn the quad and for engine also the bigger tires the harder is for engine... I would ride in XC 21 in fromt and some light tire size 20 in rear.

I race the wnyoa series and nearby GNCCs i run 21x7x10 razor II's up front and 20x11x9 ITP holeshot HD's in the back all on hipers and i have great luck never get stuck. Get great straight line hookup, and corners like it on rails!

Maxxis only has 20 inch and 22 inch rears. On a 450, you want the 20 inch rears. ITP has the GNCC tire availible in 21 inch rear, but its only slighly taller than a 20inch razr. The 20 inch GNCC from ITP is a little on the the narrow and smallish side for my liking.

For fronts, you probably want the 21 inch tire. The 22 is ok, but doesnt handle as good as the 21.

Just throwing these out there. I don't have a lot of time on them yet but they're pretty aggressive, relatively light 4-ply with a bit more bite than Rzr1s. They hook up pretty well in the soft stuff for an all around tire. For $100 shipped for the rears, I'm very happy. Also, you can get them in 10" wide for stock rear wheels which is what sold me. CST Ambush 20x10-9. Got them from PureOffroad.com in under 3 days.

I suggest them. I'll have more time on them this weekend. They handle good and bite pretty hard. As long as they wear good I'll be buying them again. I'm running Rzr2 fronts instead of the Ambush fronts tho, because in the loamy terrain I ride, I like the center lug tread pattern of the Rzr vs the mx style tread of the Ambush. PureOffroad sells all the brands tho. I got the idea from a guy on another board who races. Uses these on his stock wheels for XC and National tracks for more bite/clearance than his other tires. So go for it.

I run the Razr 1's on front and Kenda Knarly's out back. I absolutely love the rear tires, but Im not sure if they are making them anymore.
