View Full Version : Time to widen my 03 Z400 any opinions

Ok guys a ball joint just recently fell out of my quad so i thought this would be a perfect oppurtunity to through a +4 axle and +4 A-arms on it , but im not sure if i should go that wide what do you guys suggest?

i dont care how wide you go ,wider is better ,is expensive to .
what ever you do dont get a set of rims that make it wider , can you say bump steer? ,i seen one guy brake his pelvis all be cause of bump steer

i hear that im deff going to go the axle and aarm route i just didnt know if i could go too wide

it depends what kind of riding you do but i think the wider the better

I have a set of of Houser +1 Up 1 XC seeries a-arms for sell if anyone is interested. Used about 4 times. $250.00 plus shipping

just so you know......+4 arms are 4 inches wider per side. plus 2 arms are 4 inches wider overall. wider isnt better if you cant fit between the trees !!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

After I changed the shocks, it lowered the it enough that it feels like it is wider. I ride in the woods and did not want it any wider.

Which shocks did you use to to that? That's what i need to do, but not sure which ones to use.
