250x or 250EX what is the difference?

Just bought a 2006 250. Not sure if it is EX or X. What is the difference? This has the sport clutch and is in really good shape, looks like it was rode very little. Just wondering if someone can tell me what the difference between the EX and X is.

1ST off i want to say honda is ****ing up with their names, they are not looking back 20 years ago + to names they used.

honda 250x was made in 87-88 91-92 (it looked like a 300ex)
honda 300ex was made in 93-06 07-08 lookedlike a 450r
honda 300x is the same as a 300ex.

honda 250ex was a shaft driven sport quad...(WHY!!!!) made from 04 i think til 2008
for 2009 they changed the name to 250x...which is where everyone is going to confuse a shaft driven sport quad with a late 80's chain driven sport quad.

if you cant understand this, google and look at pics.

honda did the samething with big red...it was a damn utility 3wheeler...nows is a stupid UTV....WTF honda
