I have a 2003 Polaris predator that I just purchased. I rode it the first weekend with no problems. The second weekend right off the bat I noticed a load rattle. It was my brake bracket. Not the brake pads in the caliper but the bracket that mounts to the swing arm. I see no bolts holding it on even in the exploded veiw of the Polaris website. It looks like it's just a press fit with a bushing to keep it from rotating. How do I tighten it up? Is there a worn spacer or anything? The bushing looks good and is tight but the bracket that goes around the axle is loose from side to side and up and down. What do I need to do? Thanks

Polaris uses a "free floating" rear brake caliper mount. Its not bolted to anything. Its held in place on the carrier with a big C-clip.

If its rattling I would look at 1 of 4 things or a combination:

1 - the brake rotor is warped/bent.

2 - The caliper mount is bent.

3 - Brake pad wear.

4 - The caliper bolts have loosened from the caliper mount.

The Outlaw 525 uses the same set-up. When started to rattle and make noise it was the rotor was warped and the pads where worn.
