I just replaced mine and bought the new bearings from an industrial supply warehouse for 30 bucks and change for the bearings and seals.

The size is 40mm bore, 62mm O.D., 12mm width.

The part number of the bearings is 6908rs, the bearings that were in mine were KML but I do not know for certain that these are OEM.

If you want the cheapest do a search on google and ebay, there were pairs going for like 13 bux...

Those are going to be cheap Chinese but the KML ones that were in mine are Chinese so if that is what OEM is they are Chinese too.

If the bearings are made to ABEC standards they have the same tolerances of the American counter parts, the only difference is the quality of the metals. Now given the environment in the carrier no bearing is going to last very long American made or not so the cheap ones arent that bad of an alternative.

When it comes to axle bearings, don't buy aftermarket IMO, buy OE Honda bearings.

China Is China weather its oem or not.

From the All Balls website they use KML bearings. Click the link and look at the picture it says kml on the seal

All Balls Link (http://www.goallballs.com/Bearings_seals.asp?page=WBK)

Googled up where KML is made
Hong Kong China...
KML (http://www.ap-magazine.com/showroom/KMLBearing)

So unless you want to buy 100 dollar a piece made in the USA bearings, going OEM will not gain you much. If the ones you buy are made to an ABEC standard also..

I personally am a believer in you get what you pay for. My oem bearings in my 01 400 finally went at the begining of summer. Mind you mine doesn't get much use as some others do but they finally popped. Allballs seems to have a pretty good reputation. Personally if you can afford it go with the burgard bearings and carrier. I've got them sitting In my work shop as my next replacement. The burgard bearing that goes into their carrier Is twice as wide as the oem sized bearing

the easiest way is to jack up the rear and see if theres any play in the wheels, jack it up off the ground, grab the wheel and see if itll move side to side or up and down. i noticed mine blew when i was going down a paved section and it felt like the rear end was dancing side to side on me. also if you notice a big loss in the power department thats a good sign too. when mine blew i let them go too far and at one point i jacked it up to check them, and fired the quad up, put it in gear and with the wheels off the ground when i slipped the clutched out she stalled, they were pretty bad.
