I was wondering if anyone runs a tether kill switch and a factory run-kill-run switch, if so how?

i took off my stock kill switch, followed the wires, and hooked my tether wire into that so i didnt have to use the cdi wire....alot cleaner IMO. i dont run both though

I wish I would have done that. I just thought about that the other day. But now I just put on a Cr250 Kill switch as my starter button. And then I connected the 2 wires togeather.

I'm not sure if the EX is different but on my R I run both. You tap into the positive lead on the coil. If the kill tether is pulled it grounds out the coil before it gets energized. I believe the stock on-off switch works in a similar way. I have had no problems running them together.
Unless you are taking about running the stock ignition key switch with a kill tether? I know on some bikes you have to bypass the key to run a kill tether.

just hook one wire up to the coil and ground the other on the frame. the directions say which wire to place in each location but i don't remember.

I run both switches. I took the black box off of the bars and found the wires that run to the kill switch. Then I followed the wire bundle until the wires were exposed (just under the reserve switch). I spliced the tether into the kill switch wire and then grounded the switch to the frame with a hose clamp.

do you wanna run the stock on/off killswitch and the teather just so you could keep the on/off light switch?

No, but I never thought of that i just wanted to keep both switches for ease, but I also need the light switch
