01? Blaster

I just picked up an 01? blaster, but its black, with a purple tank shroud. I was under the ussumption that in 01 the only came in all blue or black and white.... what year is this thing

check out the serial number. it's behind the rear of the left frt wheel. get the tenth digit thats the year XXXXXXXXX1XXXX so this would be a 2001 if it's a letter get that for me i have a break down in my shop for those

you need to double check that. it comes up as a 1980 not right. this will help:

well i can barely read the vin, its under a really thick coat of what looks like house paint and scraping it off makes it hard to read, but i also am missing 2 numbers that i cannot see so i dont know if im missing the first 2 or the last 2

is there any way of telling what year it is by the engine serial code?, or color of the plastics? Its got black fenders and a black tank, but "Supposedly" from what i am told the tank shroud was purple

well i buffed the vin number up enough to read it and it turns out this thing is an 01, now my next project is redo alot of the wiring, they messed it all up and now the kill switch, and headlight dont work
