what is the cheapest clutch you can get for a 98 400ex?

99' was the 1st year of the 400ex.
Buy an OE Honda clutch kit, it's the best setup out there.

tusk will be the cheapest way to go if you want to get it up and running. i have had mine well over a year with no problems. steve

If your looking for cheaper I have a Tusk with the HD springs and it seems to be holding up good. They run about 50 bucks.

i got a driven clutch for less than sixty off motosport.com seems to be holding fine for me

Tusk clutches are pretty nice, I have used them with no issues before.
