I read some old posts that you shouldn't flip the stock front wheels to widen the bike. I have some aftermarket from wheels that are a 3/2 offset and was wondering if flipping these would be ok. My thinking was the stockers are like a 4/1 offset (?) and the less severe 3/2 flipped wouldn't put as much stress on things but would also widen the bike a little up front.

I don t think it would make a difference. I never really looked into it but I would think that it wouldn't be good for it still. I think it would just ware slower. correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not sure.

it would wear stuff out a bit slower but most of the time the valve stems hit creating problems. this is one reason why it is not an easy thing to do. on yamahas and such the caliper and such is smaller so you can do this easy. the stem does not hit. these you ahve to plug the hole and redrill new ones. otherwise it is just like running spacers on the front or something like that. steve
