I've never tried a pair of real boots, I usually just wear an old pair of skate shoes when I ride. Main problem is I have a big and very wide foot, I wear a 14 in normal shoes. I saw that RMATV had some Fly Vipers on clearance for $60 in a size 15 and thought maybe it's time to give a pair a shot. I was also looking at the A.R.C. 09 Corona ATV boots, which also come in a size 15, for $89. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with either boot.

I have Shift Combat , havent tried those two but which ever you get make sure you wear them enough to break them in good if you think they are uncomfortable at first. Once they are broken in good you should love em.

I'm not too worried about the size. 15 is the biggest I've ever seen. If they don't fit I can send them back at no charge. For $60 it's worth the gamble.

okay i had a pair of 80 dollar answer boots. they lasted me a year and a half and sucked a** compaired to my brothers fox forma boots. i just got some new a star tech 3's for 199.99$ but i dont get them until x mas but ive already worn them around some to make sure they fit. get a good pair first. trust me

Well I was hoping since the Flys are just and old style that were on clearence they'd be a decent pair.

Don't skimp out on boots, you really do get what you pay for with them.

I don't know, the Coronas have 78 reviews and average like 4.3 stars. Seem pretty decent to me. I just don't want to spend a whole bunch of cash on some boots that end up sitting in my closet. Think I might just try my luck with the Flys. If I don't like them I can always send them back. Also, what is the difference between MX and ATV boots?

ATV boots are usually lower cut. At least some of the Alpinestars that I've seen went just past the ankle and stopped. Others that I've seem have a different sole on the bottom.

I also have Alpinestars boots. I wore a pair of Flys at first and swore I'd rather ride in my shoes than boots. They were ridiculously uncomfortable. I got my Astars, wore them around the house some, and once they were broken in I swore I'd never ride without them.

Don't try to buy something just because they're cheap, you'll be happier with some Alpinestars or Fox Boots. They won't sit in your closet, once you get used to them, you'll feel naked and unstable riding without them. Mine have saved my @$$ multiple times.

What about MSR? I was reading some reviews on the VX1s and they are supposed to be wide (which I need) and comfortable.

I honestly dont know. I don't have any of their stuff. But I also have wide kinda flat feet (flinstone feet lol) and the Alpinestars are comfortable still, plenty of room in there.

I'm gonna try the MSR ones. They seem to be the widest ones I've seen and have excellent reviews on three or four different sites. Techs are just out of my budget. I've got enough money to get my IMS bumper, Burguard arms and the MSR boots. After that I'm not buying anything else for a while.

I have AXO Boxer boots (actually 3 pairs), they are the BOMB!!!!

They're inexpensive, comfortable and break in in no time at all. I like them so much I bought them for my wife and daughter. I've put in 1 full season on them so far and they've held up great, very little wear and tear.

Boots are worth the money. You don't need very expensive ones. Just get Shifts for around 100-150. Once you break in the boots they are good. But boots are a very good investment.

I got a pair of thor's for 100 bucks, i don't ride without them. They are stiff to start but the more you ride with them the more they break in.

the ankle boots someone mentioned i believe are the 50/50 boots that some offer
