i got my son a trx90 for his birthday and the bike does not want to start when its cold. once it warms up it runs and starts fine. I put in a new plug and it appears that it not getting gas. any thoughts or suggestions?

I have 2 stock 90's and they are very!!! cold blooded. I have to run them choked then half choked for a long time. I realize this doesn't help you much but I will be interested to see what can be done also. I was going to put in a larger idle jet but will probably upgrade carbs soon.

I wish i could help you too.. But i have never had a stock bike as soon as i get one i thro go fast parts on it...

i would say put a bigger carb on it. a 54mm crank and a good head and cam combo.. and Bam problem solved...

we also have two 90's and they can be a real bear to warm up lots of adjusting the choke they just dont seem to warm up well i usually get them running and as soon as i can i jump on and ride around a bit seems to work great then pass em off to the kids

I also have two trx 90's, one is a '03 and the other is a '05. They are both cold blooded, but once there warmed up they run perfect. I just think it's the way these little motors are. If you go up on the pilot I think you will just end up flooding it.

guys,

i couldnt ever get this one to fire. The issue was the intake valve needed adjusted. Apparently over time on the valves get tight on these engines.
