I awoke to a phone call telling me this terrible news that John had passed away. For those that know him know that he was a great person and will be truly missed.

I dont know any details, im sure the higher ups will have a press release soon as the family lets everyone know where to send flowers and such.

Id say more but dont really know what to say, I for one will miss him greatly:(

I got the call a few minutes ago and must truly say it made my heart hurt. I'm glad to be able to say I had the opportunity to meet John and become friends with him through the new ATVA series this year. He was always such a delight to be around in the pits, a truly great competitor, and an even better human being. You'll be missed buddy :(

Wow...this is shocking news to read about! I remember going to my first races at Lightning Raceway and always seeing him there cracking jokes at the starting line. He was always there laughing and giving guys advice. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

You know, it just seems like yesterday that i lost my grand parents... for me, i didnt know what they had tought me till they where gone and watching that vid that was posted made me think of my grandpa... he always said " oh well your 16 years old, but im 75 years young!" and i'd always say well am i older or are you and he would always lough at me...

I like John's point about ok to get hurt in other sports but its so bad if you do it on a atv or bike!

i havnt met this fella personally but i gotta say i wish i was able to.

It breaks my heart every time some one passes away but it hits harder when its in the ATV fam. for some reason the good ones always die young!

My heart and parys go out to John and his fam!

I was shocked to learn that Johnny G died. With him and Eichner they became the main reasons why I started back racing (42yrs and getting younger)Hare-scrambles . I send my thoughts and prayers to his family.

RIP - Johnny Gallagher Sr.
