are 400ex spindles alum or steel?

are 400ex spindles alum or steel? i dont know. and are they about the same size as 300ex's so i can use my hubs and calipers?

if they alum thats good since i hate steel parts since i dont like things that can rust.

im having trouble getting my a-arm spindles out of the spindles, they seem frozen in place.

Ya 400 spindles are aluminum, if your putting 400 a-arms on your 300 the 300 spindles will fit or you can get 400 spindles. I think the geometry may be slightly different between the two. Not really sure what the differances are though.
