Breezewood Riders planning Trip to North Carolina's NCMP

I'm heading down to North Carolina to ride at NCMP on the weekend of January 23rd and 24th and was looking for other riders that will be there or who want to meet up there.

I know a couple BPG regulars who will be dying to ride by mid January !!! I've only been there once, two years ago, but its a great track with some big jumps!!! Quad2extreme rides there all the time and I'm sure he'll be there.

So lets get a ride together: BPG invades NCMP - Who's in ???

Any comments on the track or track conditions there will be appreciated !

were planning on going down to NC a couple times this winter, usually 2 times a month starting jan. we usually go to Lake Gaston and NCMP.

hey dan me and jake were down there training about 2 weeks ago sweet track we are going down for jan 16-17 they are having a race that weekend should be fun!!!!

Last time Dan was down (Jan 3rd , 2007), the track was running the opposite direction. Dan was hitting everything on the race track. We had a blast running hard on the beginner track too.

caleb, it don't have a great memory, but I think it takes about 8 hours or so to get there from here. Were gonna stay at a hotel and ride for 2 days to make it worth the drive.

i would deffinantly go because thats reight by my uncles house but holy cow! its 50 dollars to ride there the first time!!!

that'd be tempting if i could find a few people to go along. depends if i wanna race motorama or not though. if i do i'd probably go cause i get really rusty when i haven't rode for 3 or 4 months, i'd have to get in a lot of practice.

but $100 to race a small ****ty track :ermm: not too affordable for being in school full time. idk yet

How did you come up with $50?

Get annual membership for $35 which includes your first day of riding. The next day would Be $20. So, $55 for the first weekend. Come back any other time and ride for $20 a day.

Or, just pay $25 a day or $50 for both days. Of course it will continue to be $25 when you come back.

Definitely hope it is a go...but be flexible and watch the weather of course. It was 17 degrees this morning with a high of 36. Supposed to be cold like this all week.

It could be in the high 50s or low 60s that weekend...you just never know where the winds will be blowing in from in NC. Sometimes we're part of the South and sometimes part of the North. :p

FYI, be aware there are races at NCMP this weekend on the main track.

Forecast for NCMP is looking pretty good for this upcoming weekend. 40% chance of rain Thursday and 30% for a few showers Friday. 10% chance of rain Saturday with a high of 51 and 20% on Sunday with a high of 67.

maybe Dan can manage to pull off a nice heel clicker at NCMP...

I'm stoked for the trip. Havent rode since Dec 1st at Breezewood. Damn weather is killing my ridign plans this winter! Just hope I come back in one piece:devil: :blah:

I would be there if I didn't have to work. :( Maybe I can get someone to switch days. Are you guys planning on riding both days? Or primarily one or the other? Let me know, I'll see what I might can work out.

I'm good for a few slow laps on the race track, but would cruising the trails most of the time.....and of course I'd break out the camera for some action shots.
