picked up another one last night

well fellas i went and got another one for $900. ( thats 3 now) its a 99 with a white bros e series slip on and bone stock other than that. well dg nerfs. who cares i have ac racing with heel guards. im gonna strip it basically and use the good motor to build a beast. the plastics are ok and the frame is kinda bent but its a damn good motor. good clean oil, fired right up and no smoke at all. good power. i gonna strip my frame too and clean and have it done out nice too. maybe a orange PC with metal flake. and black on all the accents. with yellow race cuts it will look pretty good i think. aint got a pic of it because it was only in the garage 10 min befor i had its plastics, airbox, carb, tires, and a bunch of other stuff off it already. lol

ill snap a quick one befor i go any farther.

sounds cool on the 400, i wish i could find one for 900. i also used a rattle can cap, you have to find just the right one so it fits in there right but i had some around so i could choose the one that filled the hole best. steve

my friend was gonna get another 400ex so he could have 2 of them. im not sure what year it was but the guy wanted 900 but it was beat as hell. like everything was. your lucky you got a good deal.

gt had the idea first lol. i just did mine a few weeks ago with a black cap that fit in just right. lol. steve

yep thats how i did it. with a black spray paint cap. i put black silicone caulk to seal it in there good, i hate the design of the stock snorkel. its really restrictive. and i hate water too so i dont have to worry about getting the filter wet. i go around most water holes and i do have a ehs lid on with the water resistant outerwear style screen in it.

not a bad deal anyhow.... anyone want a nice white bros e series slipon pipe? make an offer. one good scratch in it from the brake looks like but other than that its in really good shape.
