Ok I am finally ready get ny own system. I have been holding off because frankly most every video cam system that we have ever used over the years has been disapointing for video quality ,sound or some other issues . Has someone come out with a cam system that is compact , mounts to anything, great sound (not wind noise) ,steady picture long battery life and I dont need to strap on a giant reconding system? Wireless?
I want something that I can watch on the projection screen with super quality image. Has the art come this far yet?
Throw up some video links and personal experiences please.
There are so many chioces my head is spinning more than usual.
Thanks

I believe that the BEST is the GoPro Hero HD motorsports.... I have the Gopro hero wide motorsports and the quality is good enough for youtube/personal watching on my computer. With the rubber seal, it doesn't pick up any sound though.

Supposedly the new HD picks up a lot more sound. See for yourself on the gopro website, they have a few video clips I think.

The GoPro HD Motorsports Hero is what I would recommend, the picture looks amazing for such a compact camera.

Professional Quality, Full HD Video
1080p, 960p, and 720p in 30 and 60 fps (720p). The HD HERO line of cameras offers three different HD resolutions, giving you three filming modes to capture the best angles for any given activity:
* 1080p: 1920x1080 True HD featuring a 127º angle of view, 30 fps, and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio
* 960p: 1280x960 Ultra Wide and Tall HD featuring a 170º angle of view, 30 fps, and 4:3 aspect ratio. See more of the action above and below than widescreen16:9 resolutions can show.
* 720p: 1280x720 Ultra Wide HD featuring a 170º angle of view, both 30 and 60 fps, and 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio

It will do fine on your projector as well, my students and I watch my race footage all the time on the projector.

I just found out my gf ordered this helmet cam for me for xmas. http://www.tachyoninc.com/selectProducts2010.php

It's the Tachyon XC. Anyone have any experience with these? I looked up reviews online, seem favorable. She said she ordered the 8GB card with it.
