Hey guys, im sure you all want to see my progress, i went to herrmanns shop yesterday and picked up my chassis and have my motor ready to go in, everything is getting powdercoated on tuesday. Heres some pictures, ill get more when i get it powdercoated.

I will have in done in about 2 weeks, just waiting on a few odds and ends brfore i put it together, im doing a translucent blue frame, chrome uper a-arms, and a few almost chrome parts. Thats all geting done tuesday.

actually it uses a little bit from each, the front end components are mostly 400ex parts, the plastics are 250r, and the air box is 250r

LSR makes a CRF frame that is for stock 400ex parts I think.....

umm, yeah, but thats lsr, id rather call lrd and have them make me an aluminum frame out of lawn chair tubing instead of their thicker stuff lol, i dont like lsr products cept their aluminum stuff, and axles. arens is workin on what i want, but im prolly gettin a tig welder this week sometime, i might build something myself, or just keep modding stock ex frames i think i got them figured out and mine dont usually break very often and i am super hard on stuff, i think i break the most chassis parts in michigan :D hehe

I got a built engine that was already to be put in a quad for 3000 shipped to my door. It still needs to be broke in. Never ran since the built it for the quad and only had 2 hours on it ever.

baldwin isn't selling motor. he said he can get them i believe but he dosen't have a stock of them. i did talk to service honda about maybe a little 250 in my stocks frame though:devil ..thats is if i ever find another job.

3000 thats as much as some yz motors....where did you a crf for 3000 grand thats already destroked??????

Servixe honda engines for 3500 are for just the engine, if you bought everything from them it would cost over 4200.00 because the carb is 400 and the electrics are pricey.

good luck mounting your fenders with the reservoirs mounted that way. u need to flip them around (i.e. left shock on right side right shock on left side) that will get the hoses pointing rearward.

I had the same problem with my Elkas. I called them to let them know, and I think they assume I was full of ****. I am going to call them again and link them to this post. I had to loosen my hydraulic hose and turn it quickly facing to the side. I didnt loose but about half an ounce of fluid, and they said it will not affect my shocks.

On my elkas i orignally had the hoses facing back words, but that way they were all twisted and distorted. I didnt think that was right so i just switch sides and have the hoses going foward. I really don't care which way they go. I was going to loosing up the screw and turn the hose alittle, but CD racing didn't recommend that.

i bet if you look on ecatvs site at gil attix walsh 450, you can see into the future, but itll be herrmann instead of walsh, and elka instead of pep. thats a sweet lookin ride,

the only reason i said that about the reservoirs is because i am having the same problem. i called elka, and explained the situation and we are working it out now. i just wanted to pre warn u so u didnt run into last minute problems. let me know if u get them to work the other way.

Ya i got white, shiney, 2 piece maier plastic, with a carbon fiber hood and one industris grafixs. You are right, it will look alot like gil attixs or more like the newest one they built. I will hjave it done next weekend for the race so pictures will be on here then. And about the herrmann being better than walsh, i would never say that because walsh in my eyes is the best just because it is proven and mike tests them himself. But if you look at my herrmann and at a walsh they share alot of the same things that make walsh the best, which is the a-arms hiem joints that are adjustable, king pins instead of a ball joint setup, and for the price and wait herrmann is a hard deal to pass up and brad is super nice to deal with. Thats why i went with herrmann and i can honestly say that they are just as good of quality of the top of the line frame builders like walsh and leager, they just need a few year to work out some problems. I havent found any frame builder that i have never herd of there frames cracking. Its just something that happens, things get old and break. Im not saying all of this either just because i have a herrmann frame, i could have had any frame but choose herrmann over them for a few different reasons.

I am almost done, if i could find a front hub i would have it completly together, So if anyone has a 400ex front hub for sale let me know. Other than that i have to get a set of rear carbon fiber rims because they sent me the hub that fits an 400ex and not a 250r. Also i got my swing arm back and everything lines up now, which brad did a great job on fixing and his customer service is great. If you want i can go post some pictures of up to date things.

Did you send the stock front hubs out yet?

I have a set of NAC I bought, but the bearing itself wobbles when pushed into the hub, like the hole machined in the hub is off.....I want to get the hubs back I sent and compare it to these NAC's.....I know the bearings came out easy on the ones I sent to you....Im just curious about these "all balls" bearings I am using.

Are you using "all balls" bearings from Brad too?

im not useing them in my hubs but i was on my swing arm and one of them broke when trying to push it back out after figuring out my swign arm bearig surface was off about 1/8 of an inch so now im useing honda bearings again. I sent them out today, the one hub i got from you is perfect just the one is sorta gouged up.

Well i have finished pictures of it but i cant figure out how to size them down, if someone will size them down for me give me your email address and ill send them to you to put up on here. I rode it for a few minutes and it is crazy. I could only get it in 3rd before runing out of room, my 400ex i could get 5th pinned on the same stretch. It doesnt like to keep the front tires on the ground. Im still wating on my rear hipers because they sent me the wrong ones and im still wating on my black fibe industries hood, its black. Also im in need of someone to make me some custom air scoops, i want ones like the walsh looking ones but they have to bolt to me radiator.

Ya, ill have some action pics soon, i got a black fibe hood to go with my tank, that hood is just a spare. You cant cover up a clarke gas tank, thats the whole point of geting one, lol. I was at first going to get a blue hood but then i relized that they dont make a hood that will match my color on my frame so i decided to go all black down the middle.
