today i was working on my quad and i went to remove the seat and the stupid cable that unlatches the seat broke.
i dont want to buy that same set up again because my seath would randomly pop off when riding and some to clean my air filter i just couldnt get my seat off. i would pull push in all directions to get it off.

need ideas on how to make a new latch.

was thinking a hood pin to a car and the little clip to hole it but idk how to get the stock pin off the seat

some guys do away with the latch, and use pins and clips (like hood pins) in the rear of the seat. but if you just lube the latch assembly, and keep it clean, you shouldn't have an issue

i always spayed lube on the hatch. the hatch works fine now that part of the cable broke and i pulled the outer casing on the cable off and worked better than new with just the little metal cable there just gonna keep it this way
