In NY state, if you're the last registered user of the vehicle, you can go to DMV and get a new registration for $1! We dont use titles for quads or snowmobiles here, just the registration.

same as jersey, no titles. I think I know what "title" he is talking about, it is the worthless piece of paper known as the MSO. The MSO is only worth something if you have a dealer bill of sale and your name on the back as the first owner. It may still be worth something if you bought it used and the guy gave you the MSO, NOTARIZED bill of sale and his copy(or original) of dealer bill of sale. A MSO after it changed hands several times w/o every notarozed bill of sale tracing it back to original owner is worthless in the eyes of the law. At that chance, find another way to legally say you own it, a notarized bill of sale will do in most states.

In florida they started issuing titles in 2003. We have registration too.

yeah, I bought a dirtbike in florida in 05, I got a real title to it in the mail ~2 months later. It had the 4 dreaded words- not for highway use- I got rid of it, afterall, I bought the bike for the motor w/ hopes to dual sport it later.

yeah i think it is an MSO i need. I am the original owner, trying to trade it to a guy that wants the title for it. but I assume if there isnt a title an MSO will work.
