I am still trying to settle on what machine I'm going to be riding next year. I have a deal with Honda that could get me a 450 at cost, but I have been really looking into these Can-Ams. I am going to have to dump boatloads of money into the Honda to get it to where I would think the Can-Am is in stock trim.

I'm going to be running College A at GNCCs. How capable is this machine stock? How reliable? And what criteria do you have to meet to qualify for this ameture support? This program they have set up sounds like a really aweosme thing for the sport.

2010. I know there isn't going to be very much information about them, so I guess I am asking for the facts of the 09s

It seems as though they have addressed all of our 08 issues. I wouldnt hesitate to buy an 09 or 10'.

Sorry, I guess I didnt answer your questions... lets try this again.

The bikes handle amazingly stock and get better as you put some money into them.

08 had issues like cracked cases and clutch issues but Can Am addressed these w updates.

the support is done through your dealer, you fill out the application and within 10 days you have a response.

I love my 08 and it seems like they are getting better

So you're saying it is a machine that can be competitive at a high level without doing very mcuh to it. I was thinking about definitly an exhaust and working with the suspension.

I'll call the local dealer tomorrow. Can you do any type of pre-approval? See if you are approved for the support before buying the quad? Thats the only way I'd do it.

Yes you do the pre-approval. Go to your dealer fill out the paperwork and they will approve you in about a week if your dealer isn't a tard. They you can buy one. You will get a better deal on the 08 or 09 than the 10 but it is all about what you want. I don;t think there is much difference between the late 09 and the 10. You do void your warranty with the support but you do get the race ECU, motoworks slip on, racing radiator louver, and if you buy a stock one you can buy the XXC shocks for about $400 I think with a anti-vibe +1 stem for $75. Also you get $1000 parts credit for parts at retail at your dealer. WIth the race ecu and the slip-on I think it puts out about 50horse.

what do you mean buy a stock one? isn't the xc version already set up with the shocks and the stem?

Yes the X versions are already decked out with all that and nerfs and skids. I didn't see where you posted you were getting an XXC or a stock version and decking it out on your own. I guess I should have read the subject closer.
