YFZ vs. 450r

What 450r are you talking about? The yamaha or the honda. If you are talking about the yamaha I would go with the normal yfz. The yfzr is pretty wide and would be a pain to ride through the trails plus you can pick them up for cheaper.

They are both good bikes. I have ridden both of them and prefer my yfz. I would go sit on both and see what one feels more comfortable to you. I personally think the honda sits to high and feels unstable compared to the yfz. With either one you can make them fast with mods so it all comes down to which one feels better to you. I'm sure people are gonna come in here and start arguing about which one is better which is just stupid. It's there own opinion.

i would go YFZ b/c it fits me better, but the only way for you to really know is to go out and ride both and see which you like better

Get the YFZ450X and you will get a quad that is the best of both worlds. Fuel injection, great suspension right out of the box, and narrow enough for the trails.

if you just want the fuel injection, i would go with the 2010 YFZ EX cuz it has the narrower wheelbase and stuff but is nicer than the 450r overall. just get the 2010 450 EX. i would much rather have the YFZ EX than the honda 450r..

Kind of funny that your name is yahamamaniac and you don't even know the name of the bike that you are trying to talk about. It is the yfz450x not the ex, it's not a honda.

Your gonna get no clear answer on this but id go with the honda. My 04 YFZ was the biggest peice of crap i have ever owned. Heard they gotten better since then but they wont ever get the chance to prove it to me. You wont know which one you want till you ride them both.

Usually when people say that a certain quad is a piece of crap is because they don't keep up on the maintenance. With any of them if you don't take care of them of course they are gonna break down. I have had my '07 yfz for 2 1/2 years and I have not had one problem with it. People ***** when it's there own fault.

I 100% agree with you. I have had zero issues with my '05, if you take care of them they run well and last for many years

aalright im pretty much sure im gonna get a yfz. im just curious what are the benefits of the cam mod and does it really made a difference

if youre doing trail riding and are coming from a 250ex, i would not even bother with doing the cam mod

i was just wonderin if it made anymore power.

i have been riding 450s for awhile now my family and friends have them so the 250 is prety much not even rode anymore but just wonderin cause more power never hurt anyone

it makes it rev quicker, so for trail riding it is probably better suited not to have it done
