Has anyone attempted this conversion? Any welding required? Does the gas tank need swapped?

my friend did...his went on just needed some adjsut ment same gas tank im pretty sure...just needa get the new brakets.

OEM Fenders are not ridiculously expensive compared to aftermarket. Try it out and let us all know. Document any problems with pictures. Somebody can sticky it.

your definitly going too need to buy the new seat. I upgraded a 99-04 version to the 05-07 and it was really easy there about the same. But the new one everything is different.
