alright guys...

so is their a way to get an aftermarket clutch lever and still have the working reverse?

i was thinking maby you can buy a really small lever to put on where the little reverse peice goes or something so that way i can have a nice lever and not worry about not haveing reverse.

i want to get an ASV lever and still have reverse.......HELP PLEASE!!!

I used the ASV with the hot start button for the reverse lockout. It's a little more akward to use than stock, but it cleanes up the bars a ton.

It's what the kick start 450's have.

I did it a few years ago, but I don't remember doing anything special. I think I had to adjust the cable a little, and that's it.

Not unless you are going to tear it apart to freshen it up, anyway. You will need to get a better pipe, cam, carb and do some head work, to see any real gain with the HC piston.

alright. well i want something reletively easy like with out adjusting cams and whatnot but my friend has a yosh slip on on his 250ex and get a wiesco hi comp. and he just put it in and it worked good. cant i just put it in and ride it with out adjusting cams and ****. and he did no carb work or head work either.

It will work, and you will get a little improvement, but you won't get the full benefit of the hc piston, unless you do the other stuff.

I personally didn't use the 400ex carb, but I know a lot of people do.
I used the edlebrock carb.

how much was the eddlebrock and where did you get it. was it worth the money and how significant were the power gains?

I purchased it from Hetrick, I don't remember how much, and we did the whole motor at the same time, so I don't know what the gains were from just the carb.
