i have a 2000 400ex with a white bros e-series slip-on pipe. the pipe came with 18 discs. my motor is all stock. my friend said it might have an effect on backpresure. should i take 6 discs off or will it run fine with 18. i have a 150 main jet.

thanks

Im running 12 discs. in the manual that comes with the pipe, white bro's & [dirt wheels pipe shout out] said on the dyno 12discs worked best.. to be safe i would go one up on the main[with air box lead on] go up 2 sizes if your going to run with the lead off..this is what i did & mine ran very strong..remember as far as the jetting better be safe than sorry.. good luck..

You might notice a better holeshot and midrange with 12 disks.

I would go down to 12 or 13 disks if it was me. If you do check your plug after about 30 minutes of riding. Reducing disks will richen the air/fuel. Might need to go to a smaller jet... or it could be perfect.

18 disks is more for top end.
