450r front shocks...

I was looking on ebay for 450r shocks for my 400ex and a couple of listing was claiming that certain years have softer or hard springs. is that true or all the years the same? I tried googling the info with no success so not sure if its just bs.

04-05 have softer front shocks, 06 and up are stiffer.....

So would the softer set be better for the 400ex or does it depend on my riding. I have been bottoming out my stock setup so I was thinking of trying the 450s

probbally for a 400ex since there heavier the stiffer shocks that what i had on my 400 worked like charm! i think they were smoother than my works i have on my 450r

are the shocks with the white springs any different or are they just for the special edition ones?

the shocks with the white springs are off of 08+ model nothing special about them.

400ex users run the 06+ front shocks.


i sold my extra sets of shocks to 400ex riders, got $250 + shipping for both sets. dont think the demand is so high for them now so the price has gone down.
