Later than 01 flywheel still work?

bought a flywheel off ebay for my cr 250 ignition conversion, but the flywheel i got doesnt fit the stator. Its too small. So im wondering if the 02 and up flywheels will work? There pretty cheap compared to the older styles.

OR does anyone have a flywheel that will work with an 01 stator?

No it will not work. The 02+ will advance the timing 10+ degrees over the 01 curve.

You need to post pics & part numbers of the parts you have now,so we can see what you mite need to buy? You said " I found a complete ignition on ebay for $200 "..? Did it not have a flywheel? You CAN NOT use 02 & newer flywheel with a 00-01 cdi. Why do you think the 00-01 ignition cost 2x more that any other ignition? Its works the best.
