87 250r project

i just picked up my first 250r its an 87 with tittle but its just the frame. so now im just looking to buy everything i need little by little. if you have anything please let me know what condition it is in and what you would need for it shipped to 62801.



also i know that i can convert a 450r swinger on the 250r has anyone tried to put an ars-fx swinger on one. or will the linkage even work???

i just picked up my set or ars-fx arms and i have an 04/05 trx450r swinger under the rear with an 86/87 rear shock and link.

but does anyone know if a ars-fx trx450r swinger would even be possible??

just rember guys/ im building this thing as i get a little extra money- and this year iv been on a gun buying kick 4 some reason.


so if you have somthing id like and i can afford at the time,i would love to buy them- but im looking at items that are new or like new. or can be repowder coated and look ok still.

I have a red IMS 3.6? tank that I bought from croat1 that I'm not going to use...65 shipped. I can post pics in the next couple of days.

And I'm wayyy jelous of the ars/fx front end...thats what I run on my 450. I was watching that set on ebay but went a different route....

thanks man- i debated what i wanted to do on a front end from the day i bought the frame and i just saw those arms for sale on this forums last week. (like new) i give them 99.9%


I dont need the pic man- im actully looking for a natural tank. i just have an idea on how i want this quad to look in my head. i want it to resemble my other 2 quads. in some kind of way.

Hey do you need a nice PRM belly skid plate,in real good shape,with all the hardware?It is for the 87 frame.I bought a LSR chassis and cannot use it anymore.

build is done for another couple months ill tinker with it again after the race season is over!!! I will keep everyone updated.

alright guys- after the tax return come back im gona start to mock up my build to make sure everything is gona work well togeather b4 i send everything off to get it PCd. i will get some pics up soon- i might be missing the plastics and graphics- but iv gota feeling everything else will be up and going- i will be takin a bunch of pics when i start the build!!! just wanted to say thanks for all you guys/gals that have made my build come true over that last few years!!

so i really havent done a thing to this project since my last post. I purchased a farm outside of town. and have been working on my property and trying to get a house up.

but within the next couple months i will be going again--- its been so long im gona start my mock up build. to see actully what all im still missing. and have laz build me some shocks. then send stuff to the PC company after that.

will start throwing up some more pics here in the next week. thanks guys/gals
