installing kickstart backup?

today i was left stranded on the trail with a dead battery and couldnt jump start because it was very sandy and the tires would just slide and not turn. but while waiting for my friend to come to my rescue i wondered why they dont have kickstart backups on these and if it is possibile to install one. is it?
