Ok i got her stripped naked. Im gonna start cleaning and cutting gussets tommarrow. Then see what happens from there. Here is my frame and subframe.

I'm not saying you can't Weld, but I would really have somebody do it like the Quadshop or another place that knows what to do....

i had a pro racer do mine and heres what he did. its gettin powdercoated as we speak so i cant get pics

oh btw the red spots are where he finished the welds. there are a few other spots where he hit to but i forget where. and the top things he made for some more support.

Warriorman Im just going to cut out all the welds and make them all fit just right. I am a perfectionist(sometimes) in this case always. Anyway im not going to weld anything my friend is a great welder.

Uh isn't your friend the one who welded your frame when it cracked? I remember that weld. It looked like someone was learning to weld on your frame.

HAHA No that was my dumb friend i got rid of him and got a new friend that did it up right and we put in some gusetts. We will make it nice u will see.

U should Gusset it by the footpeg mounts too, Stock frames crack there all the time.

I did it saturday. Ya you will have some welding to do and some rebuilding to do hopefully. I only have like 6-8 weeks to get it done.

Ya im guessing 6-8 weeks to get the nex X-33 then sell it and get a new Lonestar. Ya ill let you barrow my front tires well that is if you will weld me a few gussets etc. But ill give your dad or whoever some money for the stuff in the mig welder u use. I hope you got a lonestar for like 320 in stead of saving 30 bucks and bought a durablue or ill hit ya.

Im gonna por 15 the frame and swingarm and a-arms black and have Pappy powder coat soem things chrome. Mine will be close to what Leos looks like when its done only a little wider and carbon fiber hood and gray shock covers.

Sounds very nice! But personally, I wouldnt get the frame and swingarm the same color.

im gettin the lonestar $315 out the door from jividens. :cool: its on backorder, but should be in in a week. ill hook ya up with the welding if you bring me some brackets. :)

Ask the Guys at the Quadshop. They Gusset Frames and Rico had his done not to long ago. Very nice, and not to expensive for the Gusset and PC work....

I'd love to, but Im not really sure about ex gusseted frames, if you had an R I could show ya.
