ive personally had both and i think my honda is faster
i think my honda rides better
i think the yfz had more power just not usable power
i feel better on the trx because on the yfz i felt like i was on a trx90 (im 5 10) so i felt to big for it

i would say HONDA youll be happer in my opinion i traded a 07 yfz for a 04 just so i could have a trx

I ride with a friend that has a yfz and I have rode it on many occasions. In my opinion my trx has more usable power. The trx power is almost instant where the YFZ feels like its power kicks in after a few seconds of having the throttle in. I also noticed the steering on the YFZ is a lot lighter making it feel a little unstable at high speeds in the trails. As far as speed goes, our two quads are set up pretty much the same (cam and exhaust) and the trx gets it every time. He rides my trx every once in a while and he cant believe how instant the power is compared to his yfz. Both are nice quads but I wouldn't give up my Honda for anything.

YFZ is alot harder to ride fast then the 450R. YFZ I feel has a very narrow snappy power band compared to the broad power band of the Honda. YFZ has more of a cramped rider position compared to the more open feel of the 450R. Both are great bikes its really up to the rider. Also seems once you start to mod the two of them you will ALWAYS be working on the YFZ where you would be out enjoying the 450R. I ride with 3 YFZ's and a YZ426 hybrid and I know their bikes better then my 450R.
