Stator wire...is it sealed??

Hey got a question for you guys that have dealt with this before. I've never had the stator cover off before so I don't really know the answer.

I noticed that the black sheath that covers the wires going into the stator cover has pulled out of the "grommet". Is this black sheath supposed to be glued/sealed in the grommet or is it just pushed in there? Or are the wires themselves sealed within the grommet to keep water out?

I don't want water getting into the stator cover :eek:

Should be sealed at the grommet. You could add a little silicone there if it starts leaking.

mine is like that too but i've had my stator cover off and didn't have dirt in it so you should be ok. I think it's sealed off where the black "grommet" goes into the cover

This is what I thought because there's no evidence of any glue that had been on there before. Looks like it just pulled out a little bit, but it is easily pushed back in.
