I just took the valve cover off of my 440EX to check and see how everything was looking, but I don't have a clue as to whether or not any of this stuff looks worn or not. I bought it used, and this is my first time taking an engine apart, so if you could take a look at some of these pictures and tell me what you think, I would appreciate it.

First off, here are my rocker arms. Do they look hardened or are they worn?

Here's my TC cam. How do you guys think it's looking? It looked pretty good to me, but then again I don't know what I'm looking for.

Can anyone tell if these are stiffer valve springs. If you can't tell by just looking, is there any way I could find out? If you need any better pictures of anything, just let me know and I'll take them.

It is hard to see alot of detail in the pictures, But from what I can see it looks ok. The valve springs look stock.

Exactly what Colby said.

When my rockers when bad, they started clicking, even when I tightened down on them......If this happens, be sure to change them before they ruin your cam.....Dont ask me how I know this.;)

What do you mean by "clicking", like when the engine was at idle, or when you were riding? And how loud was the clicking? Noticable, or did you have to put your ear next to the engine? Thanks
