i'm putting a 400ex carb on my 300ex.can anyone tell me where to start with the jetting.thanks

Find out what ever the jetting is in your 300 and stick that in for starters. Then from there just move up or down depending on how rich or lean it is.

Do you still want my 400Ex carb?

I don't know what mods you have, but I have a 400ex carb(of course), UNI filter, full fmf exhaust, air box vents, and the choke removed. You will definately need a #42 pilot jet. I have my needle in the stock 400ex (center) position. Depending on what mods you have, what elevation you are, current tempatures, humidity, etc. I am currently jetted at 162 main. Don't even think about running the same thing you are running with the stock 300ex carb. I was running a 138 and the needle up 1 notch before I went to the 400ex carb.

thanks red rooster. mine is bored 40 over,11.1 piston, web cam,fmf exhaust,k&n filter and drilled air box. and i'm about 2000 feet above sea level. thanks again.
