Pilot Jet: Diff between series 21 & 26

I went to my local shop to get a few pilot jets to try and get my "new" 416 to idle right and they gave my series 21s. When I got home to swap em out mine had a 38 series 26 in it. I assume the stock one. Are they interchangeable or do I need to get some of the shorter 26s to use?

they are basically the same kind of jets except the 21 series is longer. I have a 42 in mine thats a 21 series and it works fine.
