mine too, except for mine had the e-series on it. they should have kept that body style also, my favorite one by far

agreed they should have kept that style, i like my graphics better but other than that it is the same looking as mine minus the bumper, bars, tires, and nerfs now. the frame is still gray and my plastics are still red. lol, steve

I remember picking my 2000 up from the Honda dealer. I paid $6400 OTD including an extended warranty (stupid, I know. It's a Honda). That might seem like a lot now, but there was nothing else like it back then, and they were at the peak of their popularity. Everything was so clean and crisp and tight. Good times.:bandit:

I dont recall what i paid for mine but i also got the extended warranty. it got me a bunch of stuff for mine, well worth the money. lol. I got a rear shock, switch cluster, bearings nemerous times. The shock alone covered the extra 350. I wish i could find another bone stock 03 around on here in wisconsin. So that i can restore it to original and keep it mint. My neighbor sold the one he had. :( I have had some great times on mmy machine it has been on alot of miles of trails throughout wisconsin, michigan, and minnesota. I guess that since my dads 05 rincon has over 4000 miles on his i have between 6-7000 on mine since i ride quite a bit more than he does on trails and around the house. steve

My dad and I have always wondered how many miles he has on his 350X. It's got to be in the tens of thousands. That thing has been so many places. He's the original owner, too. These Hondas are crazy reliable.

in my opinion the flaws for the 99 400ex are..

i dont like the red seat

i dont like that big heat shield

My only experience with the original plastics is my neighbor's '02. He doesn't exactly take great care of it so it never looked that good to me. Seeing some of your guys' here has definitely changed my mine. I like the original look just as much as mine. Don't care for the new ones at all.

I have both an 01 and 07. I bought my 01 used sometime back, and my 07 recently. I got my 07 for 3700 off the floor. I liek the old looks so much sometimes i put the older plastics on my 07. And changing it to an X? I dont get it, if most of the buyers are unhappy they should seriosuly think of redesigning, or better yet make a limited addition 1 year that has all old school stuff on it, like the older plastics and what not.

its a good idea...im only 14...thats how i finace my quad im good with money and know how to multiply it, and live off good idea's haha. Im thinking about doing that, getting a newer 400 sometime soon. And just buy older OEM plastics and rip it around.
