2006 TRX300EX upgrades

I have an 06 300ex that i would like to get a little more power out of. i am on a budget of less then 500, so nothing super high performance.

I was looking at a pro circuit t-4 slip on, a k&n with a prefilter and airbox removal, and a 14 tooth front sprocket. What kind of jets would be needed for this setup, or would anyone recommend something else.

Also, will at 450r front sprocket fit the 300ex?

just buy the entire jet kit for about 50 bucks. that way you can fine tune it.

I would buy a used full exhaust off here or on ebay and get a used 400ex carb.

A 450r sprocket wont fit ( honda 450r) the inside of the 450 sprocket is splined, The inside of the 300 sprocket is octogon shaped.

i have a 400ex carb 38mm, great shape, just rebuilt, 75 + shipping

I can get a fmf powercore 4 complete system for 240 or the procircuit t-4 complete for 440. does the prociruit have any advantage?

Also, if i got a k&n, would i just remove the airbox lid or the whole airbox.

if your going to spend that kind of money buy the sparks pipe from sparks racing. the most power gain for the 300 over any other pipe, by far the best pipe out there

I was acctually wondering why the fmf was so cheep compared to anything else.

if your doing a build on a budget you may wanna look into DG pipes they're pretty cheap and the difference from them to the expencive pipe wouldn't be noticable until you got head work and a big bore/stroker kit.

New K&N Airfilter with prefilter remove the air box or not? Run with the lid or with out or cut half of it out??

Check your pm's I got back to you on the Yoshi pipe. I have a 400ex stock carb also.

Yea sh@t I'll just take off the carb and exhuust off Kyle's and sell it to you I know it runs good.
