How 'bout this guy....

http://providence.craigslist.org/mcy/1460044132.html

I emailed him one night cuz I was bored and he's only 30 min away from me. Not only does it have a stock frame, but also stock shocks!! I then asked if the cases were machined or it was a bolt on 330. He told me that it was a bolt on and cases didn't need machining because of the long rod motor......

my 250r is more modded than that, I'd consider myself lucky to get 3g's for it, the laeger t-pin w/ shocks is over 3g's alone!!! These guys are pipe dreaming, Roll Lobo, walsh, or pro-trak won't get that kind of money, and they are trying to get it with a modded stock framed??

with the bigger bore you have to machine the cases to accept it.

so in your opinion, right now i have a 265...im looking to go to 330,350,370, what is the best power for the most reliability. Where is that fine line that keeps both, also, who should i go to to remain the cheapest in parts, ESR? its for my 89 im restoring

Yes, but esr makes a "bolt on" 330. This kit does not require the cases to be machined. The cylinder does not go into the bottom end, it simply bolts on. I'm sure someone else knows more about this kit than I do.

don't get the "bolt-on" 330. The cylinder doesn't sit in the motor, it sits in the 4.5mm spacer plate, you only can bore it 2 times before it has to be re-sleeved. Honestly, send your stock cylinder to c-leigh, get the pipe, carb and reeds he recommends to get. You will have more than enough power and be at under 1g. He does some wicked motors, I know 2 people with stuff he "massaged" from how ESR had them. The difference was night and day. Esr is very cookie-cutter motors, the esr330 bolt-on I had was awful and mine was "fully" ported by them.

X2

I have heard that from more than 1 person. My brothers and I have had LRD and Duncan 265pv and also a Duncan 340pv and imo they ran alot better than my friends Esr 265pv. I know I'll get some crap for saying that but I'm ok with it. We had to have the cases machined for the 340. Buddies Esr motor was always having problems and he even said he wished he would'nt have bought it. Only reason he bought it was to have something diff. than us. Just my $0.02

The Burj Tower might have to wait, but some guy over there just payed a buddy of mine here in Cali, $10,000 to build this one of a kind HPI 5T that he can run at approx 50 M.P.H in the sand.

An HPI 5T is a 1/5 scale RC Baja truck.
