Why does this swingarm have two holes where the link mounts?

It's probably made to accept both the 04/05 linkage and the 06 linkage. My LSR had that option.

i belive up and down like that they are ment for ride hieght. The diff between 04-05 swingarm to the rest was 3/4 inch back not up. get what i mean.

i attached a houser swingarm that take 04-05 link and 06+ links, you can see they are horizontal not vertical.

That makes sense. I just didn't know because my LSR actually had three places to mount. It had two like the houser you posted, then another mount above the front mount.

call/email JB and ask them

i have the same swinger on my quad and I run my baldwin link on the bottom hole. I was told many different things like they are for ride hieght and ones for an 04-05 link and the others for the 06+ but i could never get a straight answer. Youre best bet is to call up JB and ask

maybe thats what i need. i have an elka lg travel shock and linkage and cant get the rear of my 450 any lower than 8 inches with 20 inch tires. elka told me to get smaller tires or raise the front. i think thats a bullcrap answer

spin your carrier around so that your axle is at the top.

i have the same JB swing arm but only have one hole, hrmm interesting, is the one in the picture for a superlink?

edit: now that i look at it closer it doesnt match my superlink swing arm. i'd also say its for ride height.

I asked a guy who has one once and he told me it was for the 04-05 and it was to sure the problem with the linkage binding up. Never quite bought it but its another option on what it could be.

well hey guys i just purchased that same exact swinger the guy put it on ebay lol , so whts gonna be the best setup wit it ? its for an 04-05 but its 06 length, I have a gt thunder link , but could i run a link to put a long travel shock on it ?

You can only run a link that is designed for the 04/05, GT thunder would work, and baldwin makes a one piece link for the 04/05s

does jb make a link ? and is there a way to run long travel shock ?

as far as i know the only link that jb makes is the super link, and also as far as i know you cant run anything long travel on this, thats acctually why i did not buy it, and came on here wondering about the two holes, i figured it wasnt for both links becuase the holes were directly obove the other

alright , what length shock do i want ? and would u recommend a stock revalve or standard travel pep ?

im not sure what length shock, that depends on the linkage. If i were running this setup, personaly, i would get the baldwin link and a PEP shock, I imagine that would be the best setup for that swinger, BUT ive never ridden anything but a stock revalve myself so i cant speak from experience

I think the Baldwin link requires a longer shock.

Here you go.

your limited to what link you can run. you can only run 04-05 linkages. i would call Mark Baldwin and see what he has. and run a PEP shock over a stock rebuild.

i dont have a baldwin link, stock link, with the baldwin you have to have a longer rear shock

yep, just tell them what you are running when you order it and they will set it up for whatever link you have
