Has anyone had a ignition control module go bad? My 06 quit running the other day and woulnt restart. I went out and started it this morning and it fired right up. After it ran about 10 minutes it died and did the same thing. The timing is good and i have spark. Just thinking that the module is acting up once it gets warm. Any info would be great. Thanks

If it has spark what is making you think it's an electrical problem?

Have you checked the valve lash recently?
And its not overheating?

Since the CDI has to do with timing of the spark. I have good compression, and its getting fuel. Maybe I'm thinking wrong on it. What gets me is after it sits over night it fires right up and run good

I know you said it's getting fuel, but make sure your gas tank vent isn't clogged. That will make it die after a short period of running.

Yes but u said it has spark, which means the electrical is working...
Or does it loose spark when its hot?

To me it sounds like the intake valves are tightened up. Have you checked that?

Scro's idea is also possible.

I agree with the guys saying you might need to check the valves, mine would run but when it got warm it wouldnt wanna stay running.
