I have a stock 2005 Polaris 90 that I want to get more power out of for my son. What change can I make and get the best bang for my buck?

An aftermarket pipe is always a good start, what are you looking to do with it,just some moore speed for trial riding or racing?Companies like Lakes motorsports and Hetrick racing will offer you anything from pipes to ported cylinders, also check advetisers on this site.It may also be a good idea to browse thru the classified section for cheaper used stuff, remember a lot of parts from the Taiwan made mini quads are interchangable, just remember that the revers model uses a diffrent pipe than earlyer models.

pipe with clutch kit. no rev limit cdi and high compression head will make a huge difference.

What is a good aftermarket CDI rev box for the Polaris 90? Are there any free mods that can be done yourself?

Thanks,
Jason

Thanks for the tip!

Do you know of any mods that can be done yourself. Such as choke removal, modifying airbox, thinner head or base gaskets, etc? I know these where some of the free or cheap do it yourself mods on a Honda 400ex but not sure of on a Polaris Predator 90

Thanks, again.

you can get very very thin head and base gaskets from some of the mini quad vendors. drill your clutch to lighten it. if you dont need the electric start get rid of most of the wiring. then you can also cut the charging coils off the stator. you can also oblong the stator mounting holes so you can adjust the timing. thats a few free things you can do

When obloging stator make sure you use a chisle and mark your factory settings on stator and cases then oblong counter clockwise. Don't go over an 1/8 inch in timing or it will start to run poorly. This is just my opinion.

Could someone post pics of thier drilled shoes that worked good?
Is there a target weight per shoe to go for while drilling?
