300ex rear axle lock nut troubles

ok i am putting a new bearing carrier in my 300ex and im haveing trouble getting the lock nut loose so i can get to the clip ring i was wanting to know the best way to get it off

I would try heating the larger part of the nut up with a torch, then put 2 really f-ing big cresent wrenches or pipe wrenches on the 2 ends of the nut and break it loose before it cools down or the heat transfers to the rest of the nut or the axle.

make sure your turning it the right way and remember its three pieces not two thats what got me the first time

ive done that it wont break i think im goin to breask it by a new one i eat that one up lol
